Dr. Ray has worked in the field of psychology for over the past twenty five years. 

 

She earned her undergraduate degree with honors from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.  After working in the mental health field for over a year, she began her doctoral program at The George Washington University  in Washington, D.C. for Clinical Psychology with a concentration in child and adolescent development.  Her pre-doctoral internship was completed at the Alexandria Mental Health Center where Dr. Ray provided individual, group and family therapy as well as assessment and consultation services to a diverse population.  Upon completion of her internship, she was a staff member at the Alexandria Mental Health Center.  In 2000, she co-founded Childhood Development Services, LLC, providing consultation to area preschools and daycare centers.  In 2002, Dr. Ray began providing services through Georgetown Psychology Associates where she performed psychoeducational, neuropsychological, ADHD, and admission evaluations for over 13 years.

 

In 2015, Dr. Ray began her own practice where she strives to provide exceptional assessment services to families and concrete steps to improve academic performance, behavioral concerns, and social-emotional functioning.  She is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychology at The George Washington University.
